BEAUTY | Summer Products

Here are some of my current favourite products to use, as well has some new additions for summer. For hot days I find BB Creams to be ideal, in particular the Lioele Triple The Solution. Medium coverage to the point my hyper-pigmentation is nearly concealed, great longevity with an 8hr wear and it looks better throughout the day with a satin to luminous finish. It contains SPF 30, PA++ and hyaluronic acid.

For blush, NARS creme blush in Cactus Flower is a flattering colour when I'm more tanned. A intimidating watermelon pink with gold shimmer in the pan, it translate beautifully on the cheek for a coral-red flush. I apply it with a stippling brush or my fingers on busy days. Highlighter is something I appreciate but hardly wear during the day until I bought MAC Soft and Gentle, a lovely golden sheen that looks incredible when the light hit the tops of your cheekbones.

I don't go bold on my lips so Chanel Rouge Coco Shines in general are my favourite formulations. Its moisturising offering a nice sheer of colour with easy application as there's no need for a mirror. Basically a glorified lip balm but I hope to extend my miniscule collection, I currently own Boy, Evasion and my newest purchase Sourire.

BEAUTY | Recent Skincare and Make Up Products

I'm amidst in a skincare rut with my current products being mediocre, my skin is calling for a change! I managed to obtain the Liz Earle, Cleanse and Polish which I'm excited to try after my current cleanser is used up. I picked up some old school products, Witch Hazel toner and Swisspers facial wipes.

Lately I'm really intrigued in Asian products and The Face Shop is such an enabler when it comes to skincare. Bought two sheet masks and their Post-Acne Dark Spot treatment, hopefully it will lighten my hyper pigmentation from old stress-related acne.

The most exciting purchase is the Lioele BB Cream Triple Solution, which I'll do a separate post on but I can definitely tell you after one week use, I'm loving it. Expanded my NARS collection by picking up the cream blush in Penny Lane and single eyeshadow in Fez. My sister also gave me the Bourjois Volume Glamour Ultra Curl mascara, a free gift with purchase alongside a lip gloss that she seems to love if you buy $19 or over worth of Bourjois at Pricelice.

ETA: My Sister gave me her $19 and over Bourjois product. Since she's anal like me, she didn't want it after ruining the packaging by trying to rid the sticky tape residue. Anyways its the Smokey Eyes trio in 04 Nude which consist of the perfect colours for a dark brown smokey eye.

BEAUTY | "Minimal Look"

style.com
I'm never going to use the that line 'no-makeup' look because quite frankly its impossible and it doesn't make sense but we can always use products to enhance our features without entering that 'made up' look.

On days when I want to look like I'm not using a lot of makeup -when in reality I'm using tons of products- and need to look like I was genetically blessed in the facial area, I opt for these products for a 'minimal' look.

I usually wear this look for class, family functions, somewhere conservative and dates, so when your irrespective partner sees your face naked it isn't much of a shock.

BEAUTY | Latest Purchases

My generous friend, Vivian brought me the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in 86 Elboui. A burgundy colour that pulls brown tones with my yellow skintone since I can't wear purple without looking like a underpaid escort. It has noticeable multi-coloured shimmer that is best for the evenings which is a nice touch to my monochrome outfits.

I replenished many beauty products this month including Bioderma, an amazing makeup remover or quick cleanse that is extremely gentle to the skin. A holy grail product is my Giorgio Armani Master Corrector in No. 2 that corrects my very, very dark cirles to make me look merely human without creasing, caking or looking too orange however if your circles aren't that terrible opt for No.1, the slightly pink-salmon colour.

Another product that compliments my under eye routine is the Laura Mercier Secret Concealer in 3 which I actually lost one month ago and I nearly hit pan, slightly annoyed. If you found that the Bobbi Brown creamy concealer is too creamy I highly suggest checking out Laura Mercier. Brought a back up of my favourite lipstick, Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture in 6 Rose Bergamasque. Perfect neutral pink slightly nude-y peachy lip colour for any occasion.

An impulse buy is Laura Mercier Blush in Orange Blossom, a very subtle coral, perfect for a minimal or 'no make-up' look. If you have very pale skin, I think this would be a nice coral for your complexion that doesn't look orange on you hence the name there is some pinktones.

Speaking of blush I brought my favourite blush of all time the Bourjois blush in 16 Rose Coup de Foudre that I also lost and couldn't live without. Its a warm-peachy pink that is flattering on most skin tones and has slight shimmer in the pan but barely noticeable. What I love about this blush is I can lightly dust my cheeks or my preferred method, to pack it on like a drag. The con is the packaging and since it has that baked dome effect it will harden but use the brush it came with to scrap it. Even then I still love this blush.

Lastly I brought MAC Brun eyeshadow to fill in my brows with the recommendation of the MUA. My eyebrows are in need of filling and extra aid in lengthening since in photos it looks like my eyebrows are short. However I'll probably fill them in the evenings or when I want to look more made up.

I don't think or more like I shouldn't buy any makeup for awhile and start using more of my makeup in particular my numerous foundation collection. However I'm getting into eyeshadows and the Burberry line looks very tempting.
